Seems to be similar to these, just this is 150w (which fitting allows), and the one above is 130w?

Or this? but only 100w? But these say double ended.

Current light bulb has a round electrical connector on both ends.

If you're in a part of the country you can go into a hardware store, just go into M10 and find one that matches. There's often a bit of a range. Otherwise I guess measure it precisely and you'll find one online. I've had a few different sizes, and you can buy LED versions maybe locally but from ebay and such.

Its a linear halogen lamp.

The most important thing to know, is never touch a good one with your fingers, always use a tissue or clean gloves to handle them.

Over the past few years we have had to replace several different slightly-obscure bulbs (range hood, oven, old standard lamp with a bulb like yours, etc). Bunnings have a big selection but, in our local branch at least, it was very frustrating trying to find the bulb we needed. This was due to the way they lay out the store and categorise the bulbs. And there’s no point asking the staff on something so specific - I felt I had more idea than they did.

So each time I have ended up going to Lighting Direct and showed them the old bulb. They have a huge range and you can be in and out of the shop in three minutes.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Great thanks all for confirming.

And indeed, one does not touch halogen!

And I would add, don't bother with any LED replacements for those, they have all been dim and sucked and flickered and had short lifespans. Stick with the miniature heater and replace the fixture when you can with something efficient.

Looks like an R7, you can get them at any hardware place for a couple of dollars.

Be aware that these things run incredibly hot, so get the lowest wattage you can unless you really need lots of light. Or, better yet, replace it with something that outputs the same light at a tenth of the power/heat.
