Hi, i also have a fitbit ionic, as long as yours is synced and registered to your fitbit account you should have no problems. It didn't even ask me to return it only to dispose of it safely.

Have done the online registration process and got acknowledgment.
Waiting for them to ask for more details about how they can send the refund.

Received $US309 in total. $299 payout, plus $10 to cover any PayPal fees, of which there weren't any.

Just an email notification ("Fitbit Ionic Refund Update") from PayPal that a deposit had been made.

Bought mine secondhand for $150 in early 2021 and managed to drown it over the summer, which I was quite sad about as I really liked it. Tossed it into the electronic recycling bin at work.

Fortunately this had not been emptied!!!

I applied for the refund mid last week, and the process was smooth as the device was still linked to my account.  Was advised the refund will take several weeks to process.  I'm considering myself very fortunate!

Mine was purchased second hand from Trade Me. So if this refund happens , I am pretty pleased.

Atleast this is paying for my Galaxy Watch4.  I like it better than my Ionic now.  But charging it once a day
is not ideal.

I have 4 here. 1 claimed OK. 3 I can't turn on. 😑

Fitbit is allowing a claim on 1 of them, as I removed it from my account only 2 months ago and now can't add it back to initiate a claim. Lucky.

Still waiting for my refund since May when I got the email stating that my registration was successful and refund will be on its way .

There is no help using online chat and get referred to call +44 (0) 20 7570 0343 which is a UK number and not a toll free number
Guess I have to call this UK number!

My refund arrived (via Paypal, from memory) in the advised timeframe and I used it to get a Fitbit Sense.  Once again, I consider myself fortunate.

Well, called the refund helpline in the UK (call centre) and was told that paypal had rejected the payment made in April.
I am supposed to follow this up with paypal so that fitbit can resend the refund.

I never received an email from fitbit nor paypal during this period. (yes! none in my spamfolder)
My Paypal account is active as I made a recent purchase with AliExpress and it went through without any issues.

I have never received any money in paypal account and was wondering if there is any other verification process
required by Paypal for them to accept Payments to my account.

Thanks

I think my refund was the first time I've ever had a payment into my Paypal account, and don't remember having to do anything to accept payments.

Thats interesting @Dynamic.
My plan is to call Paypal NZ and make enquiries, and if there are NO hold ups, then get FitBit to resend the money or I have the option
of getting them to send to another paypal email address (friend)

I am doubting if this was sent to the correct email address (mine), as I never got any comms from FitBit nor PayPal about this transaction.

Thanks
