Hi,

I have added some call screening phones to get rid of the scam (including JW and Real Estate) calls, and would like to inhibit the remaining old style corded phone from ringing but still able to make calls. Somewhere I thought I read about a bridge arrangement that suppresses the ringing AC but still allows DC for the phone to work. Does anyone have any info on this setup

Thanks in advance

If it's an old style NZPO phone taking out a link on the board for the bell circuit will do it, otherwise there might be a bell/ringer switch/ volume button somewhere.

You are so right, I did not look and see the "Ringer" switch on the Uniden phone - duh....

Easy to overlook the obvious sometimes.  Glad you got it sorted.
