What can I say, Apple sucks at writing software for windows.

I disagree. Can't fault iTunes on my Windows machines, works exactly how it is supposed to for me. And works the same as it does on my Macs. That's why I like it - for the consistency.

What are you having problems with? I had problems at one point getting video to play back properly, until I figured out there is a Direct X setting in Quicktime that needs to be disabled. Since then no probs at all, even on my low-spec PCs

Other than the draconian restriction of not being easily able to scan music folders for new/deleted content (which is easily solved by the use of 3rd party apps) I've never encountered a single issue with iTunes. Quite simply it just works.

Same here. I have it running on multiple machines accessing the iTunes library over the LAN from a home server over and never had a problem.

I have been using a Mac for last several months - iTunes on Mac is great.

I also use iTunes on my Windows laptop, and a dedicated workstation at the office that runs iTunes (for importation and organisation of music) and Squeezecenter (for distributing the music to Squeezbox clients over the network).

Also used iTunes on multiple personal Windows machines for years.

iTunes is a fantastic program on Mac & Win, never faulted, except for display issues on two machines running Vista about 12 months ago.

Man you're everywhere i go haha maybe its fate... nah serious now what quicktime setting had to be disabled? im interested because i may be having the same problem or its just the laptop.
i have to agree that iTunes does just simply work and i have never had any problems with it. Songbird looks interesting :D very similar to itunes though it could just be the starting stage :D

Um from memory you go into the quicktime preferences screen and disable the option for directshow and directdraw video accelerators
