Morning all,

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience doing as per the subject tile?

I ordered a powerbank from Amazon USA and it arrived at my Stackry locker on 12/04 and was picked up by DHL the same day and was given an ETA of 18/04.

The shipment status then updated to 'shipment on hold' since 14/04. I've contacted DHL NZ via call centre and chat and they lodged queries on my behalf with DHL USA for an update and so far haven't heard back from them.

I also contacted Stackry directly and they advised it's due to the shipment being dangerous good and it takes longer in the shipping process.

So has anyone had a similar experience and how long did it eventually take for you to receive the parcel?

TIA

Best guess as it is a dangerous item, it has been thrown off the plane and is now waiting for a boat ride.

Last time I had something from the USA that had to come by ship it was 3 months. It will come down to the availability of a ship coming to NZ from the USA.

Thanks, hopefully that's not the case, DHL Express was the only shipping option Stackry offered for dangerous goods.

I've now also lodged an online enquiry directly with DHL USA so will see what they say.

Ok, finally got my powerbank delivered today by DHL, so it took 21 days (DHL picked up the powerbank from Stackry on 12/04).

I suppose this is not too bad, compared to sea freight but I would certainly not use a freight forwarding service like Stackry again anytime soon, the cost is way too expensive.

Cost of Stackry is basically double that of the cost of the powerbank.

Probably easiest to buy one locally.

Why would you not buy one just local?

Is it really that much faster than just a plain USB PD powerbank that its worth the hassle to get it?

If I am spending $$$ on getting a S23U, then I'd like to make use of some of its features such as the 45W PPS charging.

@mrgsm021

Which Powerbank did you buy?
Does it actually charge your S23U at 45w. I have found Samsung phones to be quite fussy on what non Samsung charges they will quick charge with.

This one - funny you should ask about the wattage, my S23U is currently charging off the powerbank, which has a display to show charging readings.

Yes, it was charging at 45W for the first few minutes according to the reading when it was first plugged in.

I think Sammy has optimised their charging this year, I noticed the battery % going up faster than last year's S22U.
