Hey all,

I searched this forum and turned up nill so here's a nice shiny new post on an ancient problem.

Itunes randomly decides to stop syncing random stuff to Ipods, the only way around it, is to delete the media, and re rip or download it. Im sick to death of this happening and my CD's are all in storage while im at Uni.

If you google this problem you get lots of helpful advice from people who have obviously just googled the problem.

Uninstall and Reinstall Itunes
Upgrade Itunes To Latest
Factory Reset Ipod and Re-Sync
yada yada yada

Sometimes the top two work, the bottom usually always works. But im sick of itunes skrewing me around with this, apple simply tells you to redownload your media and suggest their store, how nice.

Does anyone here know how to fix this without such drastic measures and prevent it from ever happening again?

Cheers, Pissed Off Scottish Guy

PS Ipod 80Gb Classic (Latest Edition), Ipod Shuffle 2nd Gen, Ipod Mini 2nd Gen all suffer.

You haven't clicked the 'don't tell me again' checkbox on the dialog that tells you about items it can't sync due to codec/support issues?

I can't remember if you can re-enable this...

edit: oh looky, there it is. Connect the device, right click it in the sidebar and select "Reset Warnings".
