If you own a Flipper Zero and are a terrible person as you want to mess up the visuals. https://github.com/danielweidman/flipper-pixmob-ir-codes

They hand out a pixmob wristband when you enter the stadium, and then ask for it back when you leave.... Which if you put it in your pocket before leaving then you have a nifty souvenir.

I went last night, they looked like brand new devices. Well cleaned and sanitised between use. The ones used last night were also made from a compostible plastic so they recycle the electronics and dispose of them once they get a bit ratty.

And a little more searching on the pixmod site I now understand how they did the images on the stands. They have a moving head light but with an infrared high resolution display to beam the infrared “image” onto the stands for the wrist bands to pick up. That way all they would need to do is calibrate the moving heads to the stadium during setup and can display any image they want.

That is so clever.

I also agree as they were all very clean with the paper based printing showing they could be recycled.

They have two AAA batteries in them for easy replacement rather than a CR2032 which seems to be in other models.

I suspect what they do is remove the PCB, sterilise everything and then put the PCB back in again.

Will be taking one of the two I kept apart today or over the weekend if time permits.

But a very large discord group talking all about the reverse engineering activities.
