Anyone using the OPOWER integration with Home Assistant.

Recently added the integration, put in your account details which it found successfully.

Added in the Power and Gas details as described in the integration notes, it mentions it can take a few hours before data comes in, its now been about 4-5 days and still nothing.

Anything I am missing?

Added the Mercury NZ (OPOWER) intergration today (Sat 21 June) and it worked within 3 mins. Had to provide Mercury NZ user (and password) then asked to confirm account reference - and voila.

It does however quote the cost in US$ (and not NZ$) which I think is just a formatting issue.

great that you managed to get this working, is it still working for you ?

I've recently had a smart meter installed and my mercury app now shows data usage (2days old), but can't seam to show any data with the OPower Integration.

Thanks Shaun

I had it working for a while, but when I saw your post I checked it and it had stopped working after 9th July.  I have not checked the logs yet to see if there is any reason.

Hi team,

We've recently transitioned from using Opower to an in-house solution which allows us to deliver customers a more personalized and tailored experience via our App and Website.

As an unintended consequence, this change means that electricity usage data can no longer be imported into Home Assistant using the Opower integration.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Is that why you now cant be bothered to email me my usage information either? Between that and gmail not getting the due date from the emails is making me really consider changing providers again.

Will agree with Rich's post (albeit nicer, Tane likely wasn't the one that made the decision).

The emails were nice.

The HA integration was also very nice and let me statistically plot without much effort.

I would love to see the in house solution come with some HA integration in the future.

The Mercury NZ (OPOWER) Integration has become a problem -

(1) it does not update, (content / data becomes stale)

(2) stops working (breaks) from time to time (need to restart HA to get it to function again)

(3) need to re-authenticate from time to time.

It's not adding any value to my HA so I'm probably going to uninstall it.

Not trying to be a dick here, but I don't see how pushing people to fewer and more restriction options delivers on "deliver customers a more personalized and tailored experience".  I know you are just the messenger, but it's disappointing when any company starts something that is focused on being open, then just cuts it.

I am also a Mercury customer.

What does OPOWER offer in the way of live data? Looking at my Mercury dashboard the most recent usage data is Tuesday - two days ago.

I'm creating my own integration but it's still in a rough state. See here: https://github.com/bkintanar/home-assistant-mercury-co-nz. It has the hourly/daily/monthly usage graph for energy at the moment. Planning to add Gas and Broadband.

Just an FYI as others said, I'm just the messenger but I did pass the feedback/comments on from the thread to the relevant people internally.

While I can't officially endorse it, just wanted to say great work bkintanar - Looks great.
