Hey all

 

 

 

I've just bought a brand new Gopro Hero 13 Black. It requires an innitial update through the Quik phone app. 

 

During the update the app asks to connect to the camera's wifi password. However they do not tell me what the camera's wifi password. I tried a few different options such as 00000000 and 12345678 but apparently since the Hero4 all wifi passwords are now random.

 

Other people must have had this issue? Any work around without having to do the manual update from PC to SD card?

When you first connect to the camera over Bluetooth it should configure this on the app for you.

A ha! OK solved it. I kept getting a page that would say "please connect to the camera's wifi" and it would give me two options. 'Settings' or 'connect to wifi'

 

 

 

I kept selecting "connect to wifi" and never considered the alternative. Just tried selecting "settings" thinking it would take me to my phones settings but it just started working.
