My kid accidentally knocked one of the vertical blind slats loose, and it fell onto the floor. I think there’s a small clip or piece at the top of the slat (shown by the blue arrow) that fits into the small hole (shown by the red arrow) to hold it in place. If I can get a replacement and put it back, that should fix it. Am I right? If so, does anyone know what this part is called and where I can get one?

Do you know what brand they are?

Have you tried pushing the blind back up to see if it locks in place?

I don't know the brand. But I think it's pretty standard. I've seen similar ones on youtube.

It cannot be put back anymore, nothing to hold it in place now. When it was broken I saw a few small broken pieces on the floor.

A replacement will usually also have the blue bit which is called the "Stem"

I stuffed in bluetak…. Who knows if it’s still in place….

but you can get parts…. Do these blinds need cleaning? Most blind cleaning places also do repairs at the same time.

they come, take away the blinds, clean, repair and come back and install……usually same day of your lucky.

It needs to be held up without stopping the blind from rotating. The blue arrow stem possibly clips into a gear that has broken and dropped out of the carrier.

Yes. I think so. there is a gear something inside the carrier which was broken. But the one shown in the link you gave appears not the same.
