Was wondering if Archos is in NZ. It's very popular in other countries. Just haven't seen the latest generation archos on the net in NZ.

Are you looking for the Archos 5 (60GB, 120GB or 250GB) or Archos 7 (160GB or 320GB)? I have access to the Archos range here in NZ and can supply them. Haven't got them up on my site yet though :).

Regards,
Clive

I have updated our website with the Archos 5 60GB model and the Archos 7 120GB model. Archos 5 is here http://shop.cvscomputing.co.nz/service/i/4/n/archos-5-60gb-internet-media-tablet.html and Archos 7 is http://shop.cvscomputing.co.nz/service/i/5/n/archos-7-120gb-internet-media-tablet.html. I can supply 120GB and 250GB for Archos 5 as wekk, and 320GB for Archos 7 as well.

Regards,
Clive

Hi Everyone, Archos is available in NZ and we are now establishing our Reseller Network, of which Clive is one of them. Check his site in a week as we have new products available.

Cheers

I've been looking at replacing my AV420 with an Archos 5 60G, but finding it difficult get one in NZ.

Yes Global Communications do sell the product, but it is listed on their website at $959 inc GST, and is a heafty price to pay.

I looked at the cost of purchasing it from the UK. John Lewis sell it for 223GBP ($487) which is $472 less, nearly half the cost of Global Communications, and would easily pay for the shipping.

I received an email from Archos, and they said that "The warranty is validated by proof of purchase date, country of purchase does not affect it."

www.expansys.co.nz also sell some Archos products, and said that the products come with a Manufacturers warranty and backs up what I have been told by Archos. They currently have the 160G Archos 7 for $629 inc GST. To give you an idea, the Global Communications website lists the product at $1144 inc GST.

The Archos website lists Pure Hifi as a reseller in NZ, but I've contacted them, and they no longer resell any Archos products.

Hopefully this information will be of help to anyone else looking to purchase an Archos product.

Cheers
Paul
