I don't own a credit card and I don't want to own one. But I would like to be able to use iTunes. And to use iTunes properly I need an iTunes store account. In Australia there are workarounds allowing you to register with the ITunes store without a credit card or a gift voucher.

Is there an NZ workaround?

Working on the credit card aspect you could get a debit card - either through your bank or a prepaid (prezzy/loaded card) from NZpost.

Why dont you want to get a gift card? Are you not planning on buying songs?

It would probably be more correct to say "I don't want to buy anything at the moment".

You can set up a free App Store account or you can set up a regular account by unchecking the payment options and adding them later
