I have recentley added music to my ipod touch while doing so it updated but has stuck on the start up screen with the apple and loading bar the light is not dimming so and has been like this for about an hour any ideas to get this fixed at all thanks in advance

Is the computer still able to recognize it? if so restore it and try again. If it can't be recognized then try holding down the home button (the round one at the bottom) and the hold button at the top at the same time and after a few seconds it should reset.

I had this issue and this is how I resolved it.

Hold the home button and hold button simultaneously until the iPod Touch turns off.
Plug the iPod Touch into your PC or Mac and leave it there for around 5 minutes.
Disconnect your iPod Touch via iTunes and then disconnect the cable.

That worked for me. I don't know why, but it did.

That worked for me. I don't know why, but it did.


That is pretty similar to what i posted, i think you will find the first step is what fixed it as this resets the ipod touch software and will fix alot of simple problems, thats the first thing i do when i see an ipod touch/iPhone with a problem
