It's a real problem - if the user joins just to announce his sale it's a no-no, but if he contributes to the discussions here then it should be ok. If there's another post with the same theme then obviously it will removed... But until them we just have to wait.

my apoligies, i wasnt trying to advertise another site, just thought the users may be interested. Just out of curiosity, why is the ipod so popular compared to other types of mp3 players? Is there no equal or something similar?

Lots of options. Dick Smith has lots on display, or check mediaplayers.co.nz.

LOL overheard woman at work saying - "I dont think that I would ever use an IPOD but for some damn reason I just have to HAVE ONE!!"

I blame the Jones'.

and that is another reason why I love my Harrier (cross fingers Santa remembers my Apache)

yeah, i've heard a lot about them. Now that i have won this one, and have it here sitting in front of me, i want to open it and have a play with it, just to see why everyone seems to love them. If i did that however, and decided to keep it, i'm afraid that i would not use it enough or not have a use for it at all. It would then be second hand, and worth a whole lot less.

Reasons why I choose the iPod over anything else:
- It integrates with iTunes and plays AAC files (about 75% of my library is in this format).
- It plays files with DRM from the iTunes music store.
- It has an excellent user interface.
- There is an enormous number of accessories available for it.
- It has stunning good looks.

To be fair, Microsoft do make a few good products, but the WMA encoding protocol isn't one of them...

For more information about the bid and how high its going, its probably best if you go to the auction.

At the time of the posting it was at $270 NZD which equals $184.005 USD according to my currency exchange widget.
