not gonna get into why I don't want an apple product Its irrelevant.
I was wondering whats the best MP3 in NZ My little 4GB philips MP3 hit its cap a few months back and my music library is still expanding. Obviously the Sony Walkman X is up there in terms of features but i don't think its sold in NZ.

Many people just use their phones these days. Creative used to be a good brand for MP3 players.

I think if I were to import a MP3 player, it'd have to be a Zune HD. Looks sooooooo nice. The UI is amazing

I would second that. However the ipod touch is my preferred choice, and the newest one has an amzing screen.

You'd probably have to order one. The sites I've found would never ever see my debit card numbers because they look super fake and the odd ones on trademe are always in really bad condition.

I use and have a Samsung T10 8gig MP3 player. It's quite good lots of options etc however they are old models and have been updated since so if you found one it's price could be quite favourable.

Also I like you would not use a Apple MP3 player of any type unless I maybe won a Ipod Touch or Iphone and then to be honest I would more than likely get rid of it as really do not like Apple and or Itunes.

Why not have a look at some of the Cowon units. Especially the Cowon J3 - their newest model out.

Apparently the J3 has 64 hours of battery life when playing audio!!

I wish I could get a Zune 120 to replace my iPod 80g 5.5g.  But I don't think MS make them anymore, and what I have found on the internet is very expensive.

The current range of mainly flash based players available are not large enough for my entire music collection.

Yep, if you can't get a Zune HD, then the Cowon should be the ticket...

I can vouch for Cowon, I had one a few years ago and it was the bees knees, an all around much better unit than the iPods my friends were breaking.

I have to say although never used or even known who has the Cowons did always spark an interest for me if i had $$$ to burn on a top of the range mp3 Cowon would be the way i would go.

My biggest issue is headphones for my mp3 player not had a par last more than 4 months yet price range for them have been cheap at $5 or the not so cheap at just under $100 they have been returned with one ear losing sound partially. :-(

I heard that Samsung MP3 players are quite good, as well as the Zunes. Just depends on how you like to listen to music- Whether you like all the showey stuff, or you simply use it for what a music player :)

For me thats what it is I want a music player to be just that play music and play it well.

I want my cell phone for making calls. If I wanted to access the internet when out and about i would get a net book or laptop.

I don't care if my cell phone can or can not play music, play video or access the internet it's for phone calls and texting. Who can honestly say they enjoy watching video content on a screen thats between 2 - 5 inches big??? Certainly not me.
