But the library that does pop up is empty - if i click yes won't i take everything off my ipod - or will all the songs on my ipod go into that library - sorry im not good at this stuff! :)

And this isnt happening on the new computer - this is happening on the original computer. I havent moved it yet coz i cant find my library

it should say "so and so's ipod is not linked to this libary would you like to link it" - say yes.

your pod will then sync with the new machine.

This is so that peeps dont use their pod to transfer music between machines.

hope that makes sense???

For the record - any one who has the same prob as me, dont click yes. I did and it just wiped all the songs from my ipod.

Use this program. Just enable your ipod for disk use, and unzip this onto the drive. Plug it into the new computer, open the ipod drive, run sharepod, and hey presto... you got music baby...
