Well accirding ti the Philips website it only plays wmv9 files I would assume that as long as your trying to put those clips in there it should work.

My Samsung player only plays wmv7 files an dafter a bit of searching around I finally got it to work i am not sure if it was the Hamster video convertor that was currently on when i copy and pasted my files or the Samsung Media Studio software but it prompted me that the current file would not play and did i want to convert it obviously the answer is yes.

Please note if you try Hampster there is a lot of notes stating that it Hijacks your homepage to Bing however it did not do this for me and certainly did not even give a option to let it change it to Bing.

I would think that Philips have their own version of a media suite or software that should do the trick.

I do believe though that WMV9 is the current version so in theory it should be backwards compatible (or at least as a consumer we would expect it to be).

The media suite for that player is called Songbird (which should have come on a cd in the box), and apparently it handles file conversion for video (provided the suite can play the original file - the player supports wmv and mp4 video).

Agreed. Give songbird a go first.
The latest official "Philips branded" version of songbird is on the official Philips product page for that media player. I would give you a link to it, but the URL in the address bar seems to include my IP address as part of the session ID in the URL. That can't be very secure!!

Anyway, just go to http://www.philips.co.nz and follow your nose.

If that doesn't work, give this application a go:

http://www.freemake.com/

Hope that helps.
