Can someone advise where I can get my Ipod repaired in Wellington?  I've been thru the 5R steps recommended by Apple and have to conclude the sad face, inability to boot up and non recognition by multiple PCs must be a hardware fault.  I am also out of warranty, so opinions about cost benefit of repairing also welcome.  Mine is the 20GB click wheel model.  Thanks guys.

Out of warranty you'll be better buying a new iPod or other MP3 player than repair.

I agree with Mike. The throwaway society is alive and well and unless you're reasonably confident that you know what's wrong with it, I would suggest that it's not worth the risk of paying an inspection fee only to find out that it's not economical to repair.

Thanks guys for your prompt and good advice.  I go find out what the inspection fee is on the way to work this morning.  If it is anything like a cell phone it will be around $50.

Sell on Trademe,

state "Not going for some reason, I dont know whats wrong with it"

Put it on $1 reserve, closing on a Saturday around 8pm.

You will probably get a surprising amount for it.
