$249

Brought the Nook Simple Touch and love it so keen to try one out in store. main advantage Nook had was collections and page change keys (which Simple Touch removed). Touch is so much better than my old Kindle keyboard.

The sony is also quite a bit cheaper, and also does audio.. But if you buy the kindle through the link on geekzone from amzon direct, it is quite a bit cheaper than dse.

Oh agree totally that most geekzoners should and do buy online for less.

But for some buying online is not what they feel comfortable with wanting a bricks and mortar or hands on first. My Mum is one.

Using the Geekzone link or otherwise makes no difference to the price of the Kindle (at least it didn't for me). Presumably GZ gets some kickback for using it.

I ordered _just_ a Kindle from Amazon on Tuesday, cost including shipping was NZ$190 and it arrived today, shipped via DHL (which I didn't pay for, bonus).

The Kindle Touch also plays MP3s and supports TTS to read books to you.
