I've wondered how to become a UI developer?

Most likely but not strictly web based so CSS or something else

Really broad question but how do you het started in this field?

Not sure what you mean by UI developer as this appears to have different meanings depending on context (on web vs off web for example).

There is also the field of User Experience Design which also encompases Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Architecture, Information Architection (and all of the design side of these). On top of that one can also get into Graphcis Design. 

While they didnt exist back in the 80s when I started out, I believe there are now a few HITLABs in NZ now that offer degree programs.

A.I.  (Automation rebranded)
Gender Neutral
   (a person who believes in equality and who does not believe in/use stereotypes. Examples such as gender, binary, nonbinary, male/female etc.)
