Hello guys,

Hope you are fine! I've been in the Software QA testing industry for 5 years and holder of ISTQB certificate. Do you know some good companies that hires international applicants for Software QA? I'd like to live and work in New Zealand, my expression of interest for Skilled Migrant visa is drafted but I'm afraid that it might decline due to lack of job offer. I've a total points of 115 (Passing is 100), but wanted to get higher points to make sure that I get a visa.

-Does anyone from this amazing group applied for skilled migrant visa without a job offer?

-Do you know any companies that hires international applicant for Software QA?

Many Thanks,

Jeo from Philippines :)

There are QA jobs around, but for most you need to be here for face to face interviews.  I arrived here 8yrs ago with 125 points and no job offer, but the things have changed and currently only those with only those with a job offer (if less than 140 points) have been selected for at least the last year.

Thanks for the fast response! I've read all 3 threads and gave me a hint that I need to get a job offer first. I'll probably try to get the 'Philippine Working Holiday' visa or 'Silver fern' to go there and find a job.

I'm also thinking that I can apply for a visit visa, enjoy NZ then try to find a job, but it's a bit tricky since employers require a working visa. Do you think the companies in NZ will entertain me if they found out that I only have visit visa? My current work falls under the Long term skill shortage list. Thanks for all the comments!

*******Just sharing the list visa******

NZ VISA
1) Essential Skills Work Visa
-Need a full-time job offer.
2) Long Term Skill Shortage List Work Visa
-Need a full-time job offer.
3) Skilled Migrant Category Resident Visa
-Your application is more likely to be accepted if you have work experience
4) Philippines Working Holiday Visa
-Applications open 10am New Zealand time, 5 February 2017
5) Silver Fern Job Search Work Visa
-The quota opens each November and closes after all the places are filled

Most would probably entertain you if you're EOI is already filed, if you mention that when applying.  Shows you are serious and half way through the process.
