I work part time as a Linux SysAdmin at an ISP. I have worked there for many years and it's a great job, but I'd like to get a full time job.

 

What is available where I could utilise my skills but is not at an ISP? I want to keep my current gig and the company owner is supportive of this.

 

PS: PM's from recruitment agents will be ignored. Anyone else is welcome :-)

Many corporates (eg banks) and government departments have Linux. These days things are moving towards cloud, so having Azure / AWS skills are useful, including things like Packer for automated builds.

My preference is for SME's and startups.

Same advice applies. Cloud deployment is a different toolset.

Where are you located? in Chch https://catalyst.net.nz/  is worth a look. Havily invested in Linux / Open Source.

 

Umbrella aquired Digiweb and have a fair bit of linux VPS etc hosting in chch and auck.
