kbkiwi: Do spark or Vodafone offer a "new iPhone every year" plan?
Im interested in the $1600 model (128GB 7 plus) so would be willing to pay that off over 24 months ($67 per month) but have the option to switch to a new phone every 12 months (and resign for another 24 months)
Im sure that they do but remember you need to give the old phone back. If i remember correctly they charge you a fee each month and then you need to pay an upgrade fee of around $200 and hand back your current device in good working order etc.
It's a very costly way of getting a new phone.
Easier to get payments over 24 months, when the new iphone comes out, jump to a new telco on another 24 month payment (via porting your current number) and sell your old iphone on trademe. The first telco will then send you a final bill for the outstanding payments of the first iphone, use the money from the sale of the old iphone to pay off the first telco.
Note: this will only work on "open" term plans, as you will be looking at jumping every 12 months but you will pay the payments of the phone over 24 months (making 12 x monthly payments for phone) and then a bulk payment via the selling of your old iphone on trademe etc
