Pop into your full Apple ID account and have a look at your subscriptions. If it has been accepted it will tell you when it will expire. As others have said the servers could be a bit busy.

Apple now have their hands on our CC and TV+ or whatever its called works now. Wonder what will happen if I remove the CC again...

Ordered mine through the Airpoints store on the 7th May so gave them a ring yesterday to find out why the delay. Received the following email a few hours later:
Kia ora,
Thank you so much for your patience.
We have been informed by Apple that there has been slight delay in the dispatch of your order due logistical issues in Australia. Our operations team have advised your Apple order is still sitting at the processing stage. Hopefully we will have further updates towards next week. Once your order is dispatched you will be sent the tracking details in an email.
So sorry for the delays.
Kind regards,
Ellery

So a little bit longer to wait âšī¸

I got the new unit this morning and have set it up.
I hated the previous gen remote with a passion - with its imprecise tracking - as did many people. Using the new-style remote this morning, I started to have déjà vu all over again - because it's not just a 'clicker' - the central circular button arrangement is also a finger tracker. The tracking is turned on by default. After several unintended cursor movements due to the tracking, I was thinking 'Jeez, here we go again'.
Fortunately there's a setting for the remote where you can turn off the tracking. Serenity returned.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
Thanks for sharing that tip. I really struggle with fiddly things like that, hence why I'm intending to buy the new remote for my existing Apple TV box. It's good to know that the touch sensitive functions can be turned off on the new remote.

I also had problems trying to sign in to my Apple ID. Kept jumping to the next character. Took me forever đ
Fortunately, I also found the setting to turn off the tracking. Works like a dream now (compared to the old remote).

That was exactly the issue I had - couldn’t understand why it was jumping around. Very frustrating. Bad words said.

PSA: If you pair the new remote with a previous-gen ATV, the remote settings are updated to enable the additional options that come with the new remote.

I was on You Tube today, on my computer, and I saw that there were some Dolby Atmos demos available. I was instructed to put on a pair of headphones, so I dug out a reasonably expensive pair of Sennheiser's that I haven't used for a while. I then listened to Believer by Imagine Dragons.....and I was totally blown away by the experience. It sounded amazing. How can a pair of stereo headphones put out such great immersive sound?
With Dolby Atmos soon to be available on Apple Music (I have a subscription) we are going to be able to experience a new way to listen to music. A real game changer. Try it!
