I "Pre-ordered" from 2Degrees, i basically put in my details on their website and chose the size/color , and it said they will call me tomorrow to finalise order.  I hope they deliver on 25th as well like Apple Store orders.

My order status has now changed to processing. This has cheered me immensely.

64GB 6s Plus in Gold for me with AppleCare+

Didn't bother with the dock, I wouldn't use it. Want to run the phone caseless for a week or 2 before I decide if it needs one... In terms of size, going from a 5s to a 6s Plus is going to take an adjustment period for me... adding a case might be overkill...

I suspect a thread discussing this is in my/our future though...

6s Plus, 128gb, Space Grey. No dock, no applecare (CGA!). Don't see the point of a dock.

I got the 6 64GB space grey although I am thinking should have gone for 128GB with 4K and all that.

You guys must have deep pockets, I don't see the value in these.

Not trolling here, just seems like you can buy phones which have better specs or at least the same for cheaper.

To me it seems like its just the OS that is adding $100's more to the price.

$1800 for a phone. Jeez.

I'm a bit the same, if the iphone 6s with 64gb came in at $1200 then I would have really looked at it, but at the moment I can't see myself spending any more than that.
Will see what the nexus 5x is like and then make up my mind.

I went with the Space Grey 6S+ 128gb

This is my first iPhone since the 3GS, my current phone is a Nexus 5. Worst case scenario is I'll just sell it if I don't like it, but I have a MBP and saw the benefits when I briefly had an iPad Air 2 with continuity

Also, I got my confirmation email this morning at 10am

Personally I think iOS is worth it, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I got a rose gold 6s 128GB, no apple care (also okay with the CGA as a safety net) and no other accessories. The docks are stunning but too expensive. I currently prop my 5 up in landscape mode on a fancy business card holder while plugged in at night, and use it as an alarm clock. The 3rd party case won't allow it to dock on some things.

My confirmation email finally arrived at 8.48am, still says delivers 25/9, so that's a relief.

Edited to add: will get a clear case for this one, since it's too pretty to cover up! That will be a challenge to find before I go overseas, but I am not keen to take it travelling in the buff!

After some Googling, I've ascertained that the 6 cases should fit the 6S. If anyone is after a cheap interim case, Dick Smith is having a big online sale today. I got a 3SIXT one with a TPU bumper and clear plastic back for $10 which should keep my new phone safe until I find a longer term solution. If it doesn't fit, no drama at that price, I can give to my sister for her 6 as a spare.
