gzt: Yes, I said iPhone 5 display is winning by a long shot compared to other manufacturers current models.
no you said:
Also the iPhone display has always been stunning compared to competitors and still winning there by a long margin.
I googled for "Hipsters believe Apple iPhone 5 IPS far superior to Samsung Amoled" - but that article has not been written yet. This one comes close:
http://www.cnet.com/8301-17918_1-57445567-85/hd-super-amoled-versus-retina-display-and-other-screens-smartphones-unlocked/
Did you actually read any of that article? or Just paste it?
That article compares the original Galaxy S to the iPhone 4/4S, an older phone. And says that the Galaxy S III would be similar to the Galaxy Nexus, which it in now way is. Also this:
Soneira's public tests (versus confidential ones that manufacturers commission) admittedly don't consider new phones like the HTC One X or HTC One S and both phones' screens look bright, colorful, and satisfying when they stand on their own.
I'm with the hipsters on this one.
gzt: Yes I did read the article. The link was an attempt at humor.
It really is the first result when you google "Hipsters believe Apple iPhone 5 IPS far superior to Samsung Amoled".
I can see that it was imprecise given the context and I'm genuinely sorry that it has annoyed you.
Satch:webup:SQLGeek: The "Lightning" to 30-pin adaptor is NZ$49.... ouch!
http://store.apple.com/nz/product/MD823/lightning-to-30-pin-adapter
You seem surprised?
So unlike apple to rort people and find more innovative ways to rort even more people.
Why do you care so much about this??
Dunnersfella: I'm not surprised that the new iPod Touch is more expensive, the current model has been around for 2 generations now, meaning it has become more cost effective to manufacture.
I'm surprised no one has got on the 'Why have they killed the Classic' bandwagon though...
Not that I want one whatsoever, but, well, I'm just a little taken back that no one has decided to whinge about it on here ;-)
Behodar:oxnsox:US199Network Locked??
Yes, locked. US$649 unlocked. For reference, NZ$649 was Telecom's price last year on the cheapest plan ($40/month).
mattwnz:It was amazing how much hype they gave for just the ipod touch strap, which I think is so naff that it turns me against buying it a but. It is pity it has the popout strap mount I think, as it is something that is going to catch on things. If the ipod touch has it and it is so great, I can't understand why they didn't add it to the iphone.
webup:tdgeek:sahyun1: Disappointed with iphone5, especially lack of NFC chip.
Where and how often can you use NFC now?
Imagine if they thought like that when the first car was produced....
crackrdbycracku: Those Nokias also include 'wireless charging', I don't think this has actually been put to the test in a review yet but still a cool feature.
