After reading the earlier comment about NZ Post taking over delivery I looked at DHL.com and got the 'piece ID' and put that into NZP's track and trace.

It has been sitting on 'ready for courier' since 3am. Not too optimistic about that.

The only reason I order from Apple is they have always been rock solid. If that changes then I might as well just order from Spark, JB, etc.

Yep, I've put my Piece ID into NZ post track and trace and you're right they seem to be doing the deliveries. Mine's in Rosedale and I live on the shore so it should be any minute now!

I just did the same search, mine is also with NZ Post.
One part says it should be with me today, another part says estimated delivery is Monday.

it also says no signature is required, which surprises me a little.

First time I've ordered an iPhone from Apple.  If its still processing in Tamaki and I'm in Wellington, I don't think I will be getting it today - despite WFH to make sure I was here for the courier.  Pretty disappointed

They just arrived!!

Via our regular NZ Post guy, even though the JD number doesn't have any info on the NZ Post site.....and DHL status hasn't updated.

If you got Sierra Blue you won't be disappointed! Looks great.

Just refreshed the NZ Post page out of interest and it went from No Info to Delivered.....statuses are all out of date.

Mine says “Ready for courier” at NZ Post since 6am. Courier post usually delivers at 9, so maybe I won’t be seeing it today.

My NZ Post deliveries are usually at 9.45.......this was 1h 15 late, so I think they're all running behind today.

I've got a good NZ Post courier driver, so I have faith I'll get it today:

Harvey Norman called me about an hour ago, so I was able to wander down the road to pick up my 256Gb Pro in graphite. To be honest I'm surprised that I have got mine before some of you guys who ordered directly from Apple - I was prepared to wait a few weeks!

I also managed to get one of the new magsafe card wallet thingies which I'm super happy about as I think they're really cool.

I will set mine up when I get home from work tonight, but I'll watch this thread with interest throughout the day to see how others are going with receiving deliveries and getting set up.

It honestly depends on whether you have a good driver in your area or not. I've always had a bad experience with couriers - DHL/NZ Post/the lot - so end up wasting so much time chasing them up. I will honestly never understand how the couriers system works. Most countries have excellent systems set in place. Here, it seems like the onus is on the recipient to either be at home at ridiculous hours (not during Covid obviously) or put up with drivers who seem to think it's okay to mark item as undelivered without even trying the door. Sorry guys, that's my rant whilst waiting for my Iphone 13. I've had to try three times to get a case delivered haha what a nightmare. If someone manages to set up a couriers business that actually does its job I reckon they could earn big bucks. Must be hard to get in the market though.

We got really lucky with our NZ Post, and DHL guys......the NZ Post guy was so mad one time that a weekend NZ Post driver had dropped off a card to call and he had to redeliver it to us a couple days later - he said "They're just lazy and it's wrong, they don't even bother to ring the bell, I know you guys are always home!".  I didn't have the heart to tell him we'd gone out for a walk at that exact time and had missed the delivery.

Our DHL guy is great too.

I'm surprised today about all the mess up with statuses - and forwarded deliveries.....I've never had Apple stuff not delivered by DHL before......and the DHL website still hasn't updated!

I'm sure everyone that ordered from Apple will get their phones today. DHL will want to keep their preferred delivery partner status with Apple, so I'm sure they'll pull out all the stops.

I just need our Bare cases and screen protectors to arrive now, they're out for delivery so fingers crossed (the system doesn't tell me which courier). I'm amazed they made it in time given they were routed Singapore > Brisbane > PERTH > New South Wales > AKL.......

It's interesting that the NZ post guy said that it was due to 'laziness'. I'm surprised to hear that. I always thought there was some kind of incentive given to redelivered items... If it really is because they're not doing their job, then more people need to complain. I hardly lodge complaints but have started to with couriers as it's gotten to the point of sheer ridiculousness. Imagine all of the wasted minutes added together... If someone could measure it in productivity - we'd be losing millions every week. I know a lot of small businesses struggle with dealing with hopeless couriers as well. Apparently no change has been made for years. We need a better couriers system in NZ for sure.

Anyways, it's great to hear people are getting their phones delivered today! Launch day is always exciting.
