bmt: I know its still a few days before the 'expected' arrival date, but I'm slightly annoyed mine hasn't arrived yet. I've been checking the tracking site repeatedly over the last few days and it still hasn't updated from Hong Kong. I ordered by the changing the Aus page to NZ page method, and probably ordered before anyone else here. Am I being punished? :(

I ordered mine from the NZ site as soon as orders went live and mine is also still in Hong Kong according to my tracking number.

I am a little annoyed that it hasn't been updated since the 20th. It better still deliver on time I am expecting a Thursday delivery so it should be NZ tomorrow. Then give the NZ couriers a life time to get it to Dunedin (an "overnight" package took them four days the other week (Auckland-Dunedin))

Sigh.

Just called the TNT people and they said it was arriving in Auckland at 3:00pm today, and after customs will be given to NZ Couriers (or whoever) for 'delivery tomorrow'.

Oh well. I'm just impatient.

My credit card still hasn't been billed yet... anyone else expecting a 'free' phone to arrive tomorrow?

Got mine today! WOW! The screen just screams at you.

It's really really nice, and dense. The down side i can think of right now, is that it looks like it will break if you drop it or something, and quite awkward to hold it, maybe i'm just used to the contour back of the 3gs.

I have held and played with an iP4 a few times now and have to say the shape is really not nearly as comfortable or pleasant in the hand as the 3GS

My tracking number has also updated.

I rang TNT just before it updated to make sure that my address was correct and that all was well.

They told me it was definitely here and was just waiting to clear customs.

Once that was done it would be transferred to NZ Couriers who would deliver it She said that delivery should be tomorrow.

does anyone know hoe efficient and on time NZ Couriers tends to be (or not)?

after a bit of time playing with it, got to say it's rubbish..

nah, it's pretty cool, and the camera is great, very quick! but it's oh so droppable.. need a cover/case asap.. and although not as ergonimc as the rpevious incarnation, the display and camera more than make up for it..

so long, it's been great watching this thread, but i think i'm done now (well, mostly..). hope the wait is not too long for those who haven't had them delivered/bought from a shop

cheers

I think that the lack of ergonomics might be a good thing for the IP4...after all, it'll be THAT above most things that will convince people to case their iPhones...hence reducing the grip of death issue.

Speaking of which - does anyone have any experience of the grip of death yet?

I feel so dirty (and guilty) just back from holiday in Bali and after much deliberation/debate/discussion have just ordered a 32gb model iPhone4.  Haven't ordered Applecare, will look at that late.
