Yep, just checked my credit card and no charge. I've already received a receipt for the Flight Control app though.

Same here, phone arrived yesterday (just left on my doorstep!) and no charge to my card yet. I'm sure they'll get to it but a free iPhone would be nice :)

Phone is up and running woo  :)

I applied for my free bumper, and noticed there were other cases available as well. Am using my ugly old 1st gen Ipod Touch case for now. Barely fits and looks awful, but it protects it.

I've had my iphone delivered yesterday morning, no credit card charges as yet.

Sometimes you can see when they have put a hold on funds, but not even that as yet.

But, they will not forget to bill you, don't worry about that .

I'm surprised though, you'd think they'd debit your card before they deliver the goods.

I've had that happen as well from Apple, charges may not appear for a few days after receiving the goods, but (unfortunately) you will definitely be charged!!

Apple does not provide free lunches!

mikerussellnz: iOS version is 4.0.2 so no jailbreak for a while.

Glad I got mine from VF in the end then as it has 4.0.1 on it. Jailbroken and looking lovely with Elite theme.

I'm using a Speck case which I really like (the geometrical one) but I ordered another one...the bumpy Speck case...for the free one. There are some good reviews of the options online. Decided against the bumper only because I was worried the back might get a bit bashed about. I'm going naked on the front. I bought a zagg but decided not to apply it. I'm loving the phone! Takes great photos too.

I wish the voice thingy would do "Play Audiobook" since I don't listen to music.

DO NOT FALL for paying $30.

If you are on account a MicroSIM is FREE.

If you are asked to pay $30, then it is probably from First Mobile staff who I find to be increasingly dodgy!

I was asked to pay $30 from First Mobile, and I simply said WTF I'm on a contract, to which the reaction was "ok, here you go".

The fact that he just rolled over and didn't even offer any resistance tells me he was trying to take the piss.

If you get no luck go to a VODAFONE store (IMHO Vodafone tarnishes its brand by allowing First Mobile to brand itself virtually identically to a Vodafone owned store) and then complain.

I agree First Mobile are dodgy
A couple of hours ago I called into Vodafone shop at Riccarton Westfield, they had stock of Iphone4, I was in a hurry had to pick my son up so decide to wait and go back later just went back and they had sold out
Decided to go into First Mobile in the mall they had stock, told them I had 3 weeks left on my contract ( I had already checked with vodofone no problems with renewinfg when you are in your last month of contract).
Person serving me went and check with someone else heard them say no problems then they talked more and came out and said they can only sell me one if I pay the extra $150.00. I was not happy they would not budge.

As far as I am concerned First Mobile are a pack of crooks and I will never go into any of there shops again.

I will just have to wait for more stock to arrive.

Sounds like Vodafone customers are having a bit of difficulty with micro SIM charges (well First Mobile anyway)

I went in to the Telecom store on Monday to get a micro SIM but unfortunately Telecom was all sold out. However they did have a cutter for ordinary SIM's so they cut my ordinary one down to micro SIM size.

They told me if I had any problems with the SIM at all to call back in and see them and they would replace it FREE no problem. Also mine is a vr2 XT SIM so they said it may not work with voice mail on the iPhone and if it doesn't they will also upgrade my SIM to a vr3 for free as well.

And all of this on PRE-PAID!

Telecom I will give it to you, over the past 3 months your network and customer service has improved A LOT!
