When it says delivery 21st, does it mean you receive the device on the 21st or it that when they start sending it?

I think that the stated date was the date I received the iPad Pro last year. It may have even been a day earlier. IIRC some courier companies get them earlier, but are not allowed to deliver them early.

Pretty sure iPhones bought in NZ aren’t locked to any network, it’s usually the cheap phones they bundle as a prepay phone that are locked (they tend to say as much on the box as well).

Yeah all the iPhone's here are unlocked - pretty sure you can get Airpoints direct from the Apple store by following a link though the Airpoints portal... I remember seeing an EDM about it at one stage...

Edit - my bad it looks like Apple aren't part of the Airpoints Mall anymore

That's weird. All the iPhone models on the Apple Store are showing a delivery date of 1-2 weeks now. Both Xs and Xs Max. I swear just last night, the entire Xs stock was showing a 21st delivery. I was about to snag one last night but decided to sleep on it.

Yeah mine went into the "Preparing to Ship" state on Sunday, and it's been like that since. I imagine it'll change to shipped on Thursday, and hopefully I'll get my tracking number.

Saw a review of the Max on The Verge (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BoDQEuP8Igo&t=211s) and seems like app devs need to get busy making changes to accommodate the new resolution. They said that most stuff just looks blown up and doesn't utilise the extra space. Will be interested once people start getting their hands on their devices as to how apps look on the new screen.
