mahdibassam: Cases purchased, tempered glass purchased

What case and tempered glass did you go for? I've ordered a Pad & Quill Bella Vida but the colour combo I want won't ship 'til early October... That's OK by me though as I'm keen to get used to the nude size of it in-hand before adding extra case bulk...

For the case, I went for a Verus Iron Shield, which is

Mmm those Verus cases are bloody nice. I would buy one too, but the delivery price!

Just a thought if few of us are interested in that and we make a bulk order does the shipping cost stay the same??

I've a potentially better solution for some parties... I've just ordered the new generation one (updated for 6s and 6s Plus) from Amazon...

By default they are sold by Verus and fulfilled by Amazon but in this instance, they don't ship to NZ... By choosing "other sellers" however, Amazon.com is an option and they will ship direct...

Only caveats are that they are temporarily out of stock and the Rose Gold option isn't available for shipping to NZ but it accepted my order for a gold one.

$37 approx (by today's exchange) delivered to my door...

Oh, yay, I'm preparing to ship as well! I've always found that orders fulfilled directly by Amazon have much more reasonable shipping charges than the third party sellers. Keeping my eye open for the rose gold Verus to become available... otherwise I might just YouShop it instead.

I noticed this morning that my card had been charged, but didn't think to look at the order to see if the status had changed. Not long to go now!

Though knowing my luck, I'll get called into work that day and miss the delivery and have to wait until Monday... :(

Edit: Does Apple still use TNT or whatever it is to deliver? I've had real issues with them in the past - including leaving my iPhone 5S in the mailbox and forging a signature so that they didn't have to fill out a missed delivery form or whatever it is they have to do.

Someone suggested earlier in the thread that they might have changed to NZ couriers. Both my iPhone 5 and my iPad Air spent a whole day (from around 7am) being driven around Auckland and eventually returned to base around 6pm, and then finally delivered the following day. If that happens this time I won't get it for another 2 weeks when I return from holiday. I really want to take it with me!

Oh crap.

I better not get called into work then... although last time it happened I e-mailed them and got a reply eventually saying the driver in question was given a final written warning for his/her actions. So I doubt they work for them any longer, so hopefully my 5S issue doesn't have a repeat.

So... when do we think it'll change to shipped? And where are they coming from - Sydney or China?

Based on my previous orders, I'd say China. All my cases and accessories have always come from Sydney, but the actual phones are always from China.

I'm picking it'll change today/tomorrow. Reports out of the US overnight have some customers receiving their shipment updates already with handsets out of China. My guess though is ours will show as shipped from AU but I've no basis for this other than a hunch on regional logistics.

I've heard of some punters receiving their previous generation orders direct from Apple a day early - here's hoping!!!

That would be awesome. Much less stressful than waiting for it on my last day of work before I fly out!
