geekiegeek:
My black 128GB plus has slipped to 21/9 :-(
Keep checking throughout the day, hopefully it'll bump back up to 16/9
JarrodM:nas:
Has anyone else's shipping date changed from 16/9 to 21/9, ordering from apple.com?
I ordered at 7:05, email said 16/9
Just logged on to check now it says 21/9 :/
Got my confirmation email at 7:14, site still says 16/9. Plus, black 128gb too.
Maybe Apple have lost a few of their slaves and are trying to hire some more

Given the cost, they are delicate re scratches, glass, why do some use them naked?
And therefore, why do Apple bother to put all that effort into the naked look?
You answered my question. Style. Some want others to see they have an iPhone probably.
If you are just going to cover it with a case, does it even matter what colour you buy?

So true. They spend ages designing wonderful finishes for items that get dropped, scratched, stuffed in pockets and so on and (until recently) that would fail if they got rained on thus virtually guaranteeing we put cases on - so they really ought to just leave raw aluminium!
Elmoz: iPhone 7 Plus Black 128Gb delivery was 16/9 then went to 21/9 for a few hours and just changed back to 16/9.
Changed to Preparing for Shipment. Still 16/9 delivery.

Thanks for choosing Spark.

I've had an iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S, 5, and 6. Never used cases, and never had a broken screen or any particularly noticeable wear on the back.
I don't baby them, common sense can keep your phone perfectly fine without a case (or screen protector).

Partly agree, I have never used a case and hadn't experienced any issues until I got a 6 Plus which seems to be as slippery as a fish. I still don't have a case though - replaced the screen once and there are few dings here and there which will lower the resale value.

I find that being on location a lot provides ample circumstances for them to get wet, muddy, dropped on hard floors and all that sort of thing. Good that finally a bit of rain or a puddle is not problem (or, as the Samsung guy memorably pointed out in the Note 7 launch, a fall into the loo...!).
If you work 100% in an office etc I am sure that they are easier to keep safe.
At the very least I would skin mine as they go in pockets, bags etc which are full of other scratchy items..

Depends on the person obviously, and many instances a case would be very prudent. My point was just that I disagree that it was "virtually guaranteed" the people will use cases.
