Same topic sort of, I bought a rMBP in 2014 $3697. The new one is $4699 although with extra 8GB RAM. So, more money, less ports, plus buy adapters. Its actually laughable.

 

 

 

Price does include keyboard and screen though....

 

I'm so glad I don't know how to use Macs. Can't stand Apple's business model but they make the only product my kids know how to use without close supervision: iPads.
