My order through Apple still hasn't shifted from in Progress so not hopeful of that arriving until next week, even though it originally was meant to be tomorrow.

I wouldn't write them off yet, Apple typically sends out a tracking email any time before 9pm the day before launch – and it'll be on a plane overnight from Sydney, to get to you tomorrow.

Fingers crossed

Last year the apple website updated with a tracking link around 8pm and i got the email with a tracking link in it around 9pm

i got this email also. I think they dont know there stocks till today, so they allow pre-orders and send that email out to cover themselfs in case they dont get enought stock.

Yay! Tracking numbers from spark (Xs) and Apple (case) arrived at about 2pm.

Phone arrived in Auckland from Sydney at 6.23 am this morning. Case is showing as out for delivery which means it should arrive tomorrow am. Hopefully the phone can make it by the morning too - come on Courierpost you can do it!

I’m actually genuinely jazzed for all you “day one-ers” tomorrow! Very keen to hear what your verdict is on both the phones and the watches. In all honesty, I think I’ll be going for the XR at launch, but I’m hoping beyond hope that some hands-on reviews surface in the weeks preceding the actual shipping. Would be good to get the proper skinny on how the XS and the XR actually perform and compare in a real-world sense. I’m also hoping to get the go ahead from the minister of the treasury (wife) to plump for a series 4 watch too, although I’m really keen to try these on first as I have freakishly small wrists... in racehorses it’s considered a sign of good breeding... ;)

Anyone seeing a "Preparing to Ship" status on their iPhone order from Apple - mine is still at "Order in Progress"

Yeah mine went into the "Preparing to Ship" state on Sunday, and it's been like that since. I imagine it'll change to shipped on Thursday, and hopefully I'll get my tracking number.

Hi Swemoph - any change to your status yet? I assume it will be tomorrow - mine is still saying In Progress, however the delivery date is now 24/9 to 1/10, which isn't a big deal but has moved from the original 21/9 date.

Yup mine changed to shipped today, estimated arrival tomorrow! Hmm interesting how your date from Apple was pushed back, I've generally found their estimates to be pretty bang on.

I got the iPhone Xs Max this morning. I wasn’t sure if it would be too big... but so far really enjoying having the massive screen.

I've had no change to my status (bit annoyed to be honest as my original date was 21st) - wife's gold XS Max 256gb will be here tomorrow so she's pretty stoked.

My DHL tracking hasn’t updated since 3am Thursday when it hit the Auckland sort facility.
