alsta: maybe Telecom just turned on their visual voicemail system?
;)

oooh I like the sound of that! but unfortunately I can't see it somehow as you would still be able to dial the number :(

Unfortunately I can't do any testing at the moment as my iPhone is sitting in it's box waiting to be sold :( but i'll be back up and running on Friday 10th :D

Cheers

Mmm. Voicemail works for me if I dial manually or use the Voicemail button. Wil VVM need an updated ipcc?

lol, solved the "problem;" my accidental mass mms this morning drained my account. Putting more $$$ on it makes voicemail work.

nzbullet: I have updated the original files with the 'GroupModeEnabled' set to false

So this allows txts to be sent to multiple people and charged as normal txts? (ie send to 2 people and only billed for the 2..40c or free if on text plan?)

Has this been updated in the both the standard and logo'd IPCC files on the very front page?

Whoa!

Since changing to the Telecom XT network eight hours ago, my phone has chewed throw $30 on prepay. I understand the first $10 going down super fast, due to the mass text problem, which has now been fixed. But then I topped up another $20 about 5 hours ago. I've accessed the internet a couple of times, but definitely not over 10MB, so that should have only cost $1. I've sent six text in that time and accessed voicemail once to set up my account.

Anyone know what the problem is?

I have to say; I've had some weirdness with telecom charging : I went from ~400 to over 600 txts overnight etc... Customer support claims there's no mistakes etc but, well - let's just say I seem to find my account drained a lot more than I did with Voda. kiwigirl8; get yourself on one of the pre-pay data plans, you get charged std rate till you clock up 6/12/18$ then you get the rest of your cap free..

Could you please confirm which file I should use on to update on my MAc.  At the moment, both files (the Windows and OSX Logo link) both come down as zip files which then unzip to a payload folder with a bundle inside - neither seems to be an .ipcc file to add via itunes.

Do I need to rename something?

Thanks

Thanks for this. Got it to work. Mac users need to have the Safari browser preferences set to "open safe file automatically". Doing this meant that your file downloaded correctly and didn't need to be renamed. Thought it might help some of the others.

Many thanks for the file - works like a dream!

i've installed the ipcc. all i got was a logo, 3g still doesn't work!
yes, i've typed in the correct apn, 3g is on.
it was working a few days ago, but now it has stopped. resetting network settings and rebooting dos not help. the xt LOGO doesn't help!

What do you mean "yes I have typed in the correct APN"? you shouldn't need to change the APN settings, everything is set to automatically work.

When you say 3G doesn't work I assume you mean Data doesn't work? If this is the case the first thing I would do is check your account. If you are on Prepay make sure you have enough credit, if you're on account give Telecom a call and make sure everything is set up correctly at their end.

Originally I had a similar issue and it was because the Data codes had been left off my account when I switched from CDMA to XT

after i installed the new ipcc i checked all the settings. the apn field was blank. so i typed it in.

i am not on prepay and g3 was working last week. it stopped abruptly a few days ago and telecom cannot explain why, so i assume it's a phone problem. i was hoping your carrier settings update would work, but no.

also i have strong signal and can make outgoing phone calls and send text messages, but i only receive txt messages when i place a phone call. the phone does not receive calls at all.

telecom refuses to support unlocked iphones as part of their deal with apple.

"telecom refuses to support unlocked iphones as part of their deal with apple. ". So tell us about Telecom deal with Appple?

Is your iPhone "hacked" ? Have you tried a full restore and then just put in your Telecom sim in? it should just "WORK".

Telecom will still add the data codes to your account... Just call 123 and ask them to confirm...
