littleheaven: Obsessively refreshing my order page every 30 minutes :o) Still preparing for shipping. They must be coming from Sydney. I'd expect it to change to shipped at some stage today.

If they are coming from Sydney then they won't ship until tomorrow.  It's an overnight service from Apple so they will ship in time to meet the release date.

Imagine if there was a massive Storm and they couldn't be shipped over.....

Sorry guys!

tardtasticx: Just got another call from Spark, deffo first in the queue on the day and the Herald is interested in speaking to me about it. They can take photos of me crying for not getting rose gold lol.

Ha! That's awesome, nice one! Bet you're glad you decided to take Spark up on the offer of the 3D printed mini-you now!!

Post some pics of the event for us to see!!

Oh for sure. tbh not too bothered on colour since it's nearly always in a case anyway! And the mini-me thingy well makes up for it haha. Lots of pics will be posted here

I hope the couriers have enough capacity to deliver all the orders on that one day!

By couriers delivering them I assume you mean locally in NZ.  Very unlikely you will get a delivery earlier than Friday and hopefully no later than end of day Friday.

I guess it is possible they will ship some from China or Australia today and hold them locally in courier depos, but my money is on then shipping from China or Australia tomorrow.  At the end of the day it doesn't really matter as long as they are delivered on the day indicated.

Yes - the pre-orders state "delivers 25/9 in certain areas" and there's a list of postcodes which are those certain areas. If there are thousands of pre-orders, that's a lot of deliveries to fit into a 10-12 hour period.

When my 5 came direct from China it shipped 3-4 days before the delivery date. It didn't just go on a plane and then turn up at my door the next day - there was shipping from factory to airport in China, then a wait for the plane, then the flight itself, then customs clearance at Auckland, then shipping from airport to Auckland courier depot, then finally sent out, then a whole day before they eventually delivered it to me. If this one is coming from China I have zero hope of receiving it on Friday, which means I'll have to wait until I get back from holiday. Unless TNT do weekend deliveries?

First of all, calm down.  If you have been told it should deliver on Friday then let the process work.  If tracking still shows "Preparing for Shipment" (as mine does) then it obviously hasn't departed yet.  It will do in the next 24 hours I'm sure.

Also I doubt there will be "thousands" of pre-orders in NZ direct from Apple delivering this Friday.  Maybe hundreds would be a better estimate.

Save your stress for the unlikely event that it isn't delivered on Friday :-)

Hey, I am calm :oP I was merely trying to explain why I'm skeptical about the phones shipping from China. Plus, I've not had great experiences with TNT in the past so I've become a little jaded. Twice they've driven my device all over Auckland for 12 hours and then returned to base with it still in the truck (iPhone 5 and iPad Air), hence my concern about capacity to deliver. Don't worry, I won't lose sleep if I don't get it on Friday. Far worse things have happened to me than that :o)

Well just be glad you haven't had an experience like me with an iPhone 6S case delivery.  After I pre-ordered my phone on 12 Sept, I ordered a couple of cases direct from Spigen in the US.  Placed my order and paid for 4-8 business day shipping.  Kept and eye on tracking only to see it arrive in Canada, go through customs clearance, and being rejected by Canadian customs due to not fitting their regulations (I assume it was because it had a NZ address on it!).

Several emails to Spigen later, I've received one response asking me to confirm my shipping address and nothing more (the very same address I gave in my customer set up that they already have).  I've asked them to expedite a replacement order to me to arrive this Friday but I have no idea what they are going to do, if anything.  I think I will need to buy a case locally to use temporarily until my ordered cases arrive (again, if they do).  I like my stuff to remain in mint condition.

Oh while I was tapping out this response, I received an automated email from them about a couple of items in my cart, wondering if I was going to purchase them!!!  Geez...

Oh, that's not cool. I like to have a case ready and waiting, too. I've opted for a local temporary solution and bought a 3SIXT Pure Flex - it's for the 6 but should fit the 6S as the bumper part is flexible. It has a clear polycarbonate back so I can see the nice rose gold back of the phone :o) Going to pop into the Apple Store in Robina next week and see if I can find a more permanent solution. It'll be a good excuse to go there - last time I didn't need to buy anything, I just wanted to say I'd been to one!

I received an email from Spark telling me the iPhone 6S Plus 128GB in Rose Gold is available.

Went to the site and quickly added it to my cart, then noticed it had a $59 Open Smart plan, by the time I went to change it, they're all sold out.

Just buy spigen cases locally from www.Cbay.co.nz, they are based on East Tamaki and you can pick up too. I have been buying all my spigen cases from them for ages now. Cant be bothered waiting so long for international delivery.

I really should unsubscribe from this thread given I'm not getting a new phone until the 7 comes out. I'm getting very jealous of everyone getting these new toys....

Haha me too.

This thread has even made my question myself and think about joining the Dark Side (Apple).....
