JPNZ: The first proper hands on reviews are out

The only real negative being the audio jack, looks like the camera on both models takes back the crown from Samsung. Seriously fast processors and benchmarks, better battery life and all round good update.
Even stuff.co.nz has a hands on review up
One review I read was that once you put it into a case, it looks identical to an iphone 6. This is a bit off putting considering the 7 is an entire two years newer. But if you are needing a new iphone and cost wasn't an issue, the 7 is the one to get, over the 6 and 6s. Just really wish they had updated the screen to a higher res oled one, and so it had a newer look to it. Next years one is really going to be the one to get for the new look, as they really have to do something special for the 10 year anniversary. Hopefully they get rid of that home button.

I ordered this case/screen protector for my 7 Plus. They're cheap and do wear easily but I ordered a couple extra of each (did the same with my 6s) but since they're so cheap it doesn't really matter. Shipping takes a couple weeks which is the only downside.
This member on trademe sells cheap clear cases/glass screen protectors for the 7 and 7 Plus, I ordered a case and screen protector and they came today and I am very happy with them. I only ordered on here as well as aliexpress so that I could be sure my accessories would arrive in time for the phone (which is set to arrive on the 21st-29th of September).

JarrodM: Just looking back on my shipment notification email from when I got my iPhone 6 at release, the original shipment notification email came through early Wednesday morning and delivered Friday morning. So I reckon those with a delivery date of Friday can expect the shipment notification tomorrow.
Has New Zealand ever had a release this fast, though? The announcement-to-release period here is only six working days. Last year was the first time in many years we've been in "wave 1" but it was still a couple of weeks after the announcement before deliveries happened.

I could be wrong, but I think NZ made it into the first wave for iPhone 6S release as well.
Which is what gmanp's post says :)

Weren't we the first in the world to get ours last year?

To spell it out, so people can see my point...
Yes, last year we were in the first wave. BUT, last year the phone was announced on (US dates) 9 September (a Tuesday) and shipped on 25 September (a Friday). This year it was announced on 7 September (Wednesday) and ships on 16 September (Friday).
That gave Apple a whole extra week + one day to organise their third parties like Vodafone and Spark. I don't think Vodafone and Spark have ever had to respond in only 6 or 7 working days to a massive event like an iPhone launch.
Gotcha!
Got notifications from Vodafone NZ regarding my Open Term plan is active, however, I received two TXTs - one for $59 Open Term plan, then a minute later for $69 Open Term plan. When I pre-ordered for iPhone 7 Plus, I went for $79 Open Term plan Red+ Essential - which bonus 1.5GB for 12 months.
So not sure what will my actual mobile plan will be now... Any Vodafone NZ guy can check or look into this interesting confusing "experience"?
Internet is my backyard...

Vodafone just processed my order. Fingers crossed for Friday delivery!

People that have ordered from Vodafone and have got their confirmation - which model did you pick?
I ordered a jet black 128gb 7 once the window popped up and haven't got a confirmation, but i ordered my partners rose gold 10 minutes later and she got a text this morning :(
