I have just installed the 15.0.1 update and it has fixed the 'unlock with Apple Watch' fault, but it has introduced another problem which is almost as annoying.

Siri keeps coming up when I press the side button even though I only want to wake the device. It seems that holding the button for a millisecond too long causes it to active Siri rather than just waking.

Go into settings->Siri-> side button for Siri and switch it off.

I got the impression that this disables Siri entirely and last time I did that I found that CarPlay no longer worked?

I guess I could give it a try anyway and see what happens.

I found the Pro Max handling improved greatly when I put one of Apple's cases on it. What I'd like is a Mini Pro!!

Sadly I don't see this ever happening, given the rumours indicate this is the last mini (due to relatively poorer sales).

Interesting you find the handling improves with a case. I found Apple's cases nice, but quite bulky and almost uncomfortable to use. Currently living and loving the case free life.

No it isn't. A Mini. Pro.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

I just put the leather Apple case on. It's easier to grip than the naked phone. I've never understood why the metal sides of phones don't have diamond pattern knurling on. They're so slippery, which in a $2000 device is not sensible.

I've got a wallet style case on order from Noreve in France which will cover the screen when closed, my preferred style. It'll take a month for them to make it and ship it though.

Is there anywhere that has the Pro/Pro Max in stock in any colour/storage combination?

Possibly if you want to buy a plan, too. Probably not outright.

Not surprising, even Apple site says 4-5 weeks if you order from them.

Managed to find a 256gb Graphite 13 Pro at Warehouse Stationary. Move to iOS is horrendous and the process of setting up is so dam tedious and time consuming.

Haha! Why change then?
I just moved to a 13 Pro Max and it was fine.
The only time consuming process I'm going through is getting the Microsoft Authenticator app push notifications setup again.
