Please can we get back on the topic of overexcited iphone speculation (which is like a drug to a lot of people out there)

A time-poor geek is hardly a geek at all

stacey1122: did u know that if vodafone gets the iphone, telecom can still make money off it. u know why? because telecom seems to have heaps and heaps of public wi-fi hotspots all around new zealand. and vodafone doesn't have any. so if a person on vodafone had an iphone and they wanted to use the faster wi-fi, then they'll be using a telecom wireless hotspot at a cafe or library and that's how telecom will make money. lol. because vodafone new zealand do not have any public wi-fi hotspots at all. lol. if vodafone wants to make the most money out of it's customers who buy the iphone then they need to deploy hundreds of 802.11b/g wi-fi hotspots around new zealand before the iphone comes to new zealand within a year.

Here is the topic talk about it all you like

Hope you can add some value

freitasm: Telecom won't make any money because the Telecom Hotspot is free until the end of 2007.... Get your facts right!
Last time I looked it was only free for Xtra broadband customers.

I believe you just need an Xtra username/password (for a prepaid dialup, or pop3 account, or broadband account). They were giving pop account logins away free to people who bought mobile data plans.

Just ask your mom/aunty/grandmother for her login, and use that...
