I did have issues with downloading the cookbook onto my iPhone though, still no luck yet, while no issues with downloading to my ipad. I guess I will just have to do the same from my PC for the cookbook and sync to my iphone 5

I'd like to know how you can do that?

In iTunes on your desktop or laptop, go to iTune store and click on the Purchased on the upper right corner of the screen. If you have tried already to download from your iOS devices to download the same but with no luck, you will see these movies/books already listed under "Purchased", from where you could download to your PC/Mac and then sync

In fact if you have enabled "automatic download" in iTunes on your PC/Mac these will even download by themselves once you open iTunes; you could see download progress by clicking the Cloud logo on the upper right corner of the screen

downloaded all of them fine on my ipad...with the cookbook you first need to download ibook first

Thanks very much, that helped massively. I did have the cookbook and now I have it on my ipod. Not sure why it was so hard for it to download on my device.

Re Support: I think it's pretty cr@p! that a company with BILLIONS in profits each quarter has outsourced it's support resulting in terrible half baked responses and slow response time. Apple products aren't exactly cheap.

I've seen the app on the appstore but wondered if it was worth downloading. Are the free "gifts" any good?

Stupid Stupid iDevices, even after a sync manually it's STILL trying to download it from the store, gets to 99.9% and never finishes.

They are average. Some music, ebooks, games, but apple give away free music/books every week anyway, although I see they haven't done this for a few weeks now.
You don't need the app if you have got itunes on your PC installed, you just use that to download with. The app just gives you a reminder and the location where to download it from, but you can probably go into itunes on the device and find the download.

They could probably do this sort of thing all year around, as a good way for people to promote their apps, and upsell. I think it is odd that the 12 days of christmas begin after christmas, when you would expect it to be a countdown to christmas.

Restarting the device usually fixes that. I think it is an IOS bug.

I was thinking of it being more like an advent calendar, in the lead up to christmas. I didn't expect apple to be so religious:)

I've been downloading the freebies every day since it started and to be honest, while some of the content has been average, I can't complain at receiving free stuff. Especially from Apple.

Quite enjoyed the two Toy Story videos - my kids LOVED them.

I haven't had any issues downloading and the only quirk I have noticed is that the toy story videos had brief flashes of Spanish language subtitles - even when subtitles were turned off.

I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.

I was able to get both videos of the Toy Story Cartoons and have an NZ account.

In regards to the app - Some of the freebies were ok - One Direction, however some of them were very good - Cut The Rope, today's Shark Game.

I'm pretty sure I got it through the 12 Days app, although I'm beginning to doubt myself as nowhere can I find it on the web. In saying that, there were a number of different items depending on where you were in the world.
