Thanks for hijacking the thread guys.

First half of the thread was good, the second half was bad.

Didn't want posts about delivery times, availability etc

@Mods: Please feel free to lock/delete the thread.

I ducked down to the Westgate store an hour ago.  Virtually no queue.  I went to buy a 64Gb model but they were all gone.  There were 16Gb models in all colours, and only Gold 128Gb models remained.

I'll try again later as I was not interested in having a model with a white face, and to a lesser extend not interested in paying the extra for the 128Gb model.

Isn't buying from apple kind of like using an emoji - both = no queuing

tardtasticx: I'm waiting in Starbucks while my emoji is in the queue for the Queen Street store in Auckland. Does that count? Hahaha

Cant say I agree with the whole emoji thing, I don't think its fair on those that are willing to queue the old fashioned way. Its just not cricket old boy.

I didn't want to do it but preorder wasn't an option at the time and missed out unfortunately. So I had to do this. Was fun though. A few people turned up late and thought they'd still be at the front but got told to go to the back of the line like any queue.
