It looks like the iPhone 6 64Gb (i.e. the one I would buy if I were in the market) in NZ has just increased from $1150 to $1250. This bucks the trend of tech getting cheaper, so I'm seriously starting to question the value proposition.

maxeon: Slightly off-topic sorry :) 

Can I ask where did you buy the iPhone from? I am soon traveling to Australia and was planning to buy it from there but I noticed today they have increased their 64GB iPhone 6 prices by 149 dollars overnight on the apple website. It was 999 yesterday and 1149 today. 

Assuming they have done this to reflect the dollar value for AUD, I am now thinking is it better for me to buy it locally here instead. 

I am planning to get the iPhone 6 Gold 64GB for my wife.

I ordered 64gb iphone 6 from Myers for 999 in Australia. Will pick up end of this month and claim 10% trs back.
