Handsomedan: Probably due to the extensive Beta testing they've been doing - more so than any other releases as far as I am aware.

It probably helps; I tried a couple of early betas and reported a handful of issues, and all of them have been fixed.

scuwp: First annoyance is the news feed in the new -1 search screen.

By "-1" do you mean the screen to the left of the first page of apps? I don't have a news feed there...

Edit: Found a screenshot with news shown there, but I can't find any option to turn it off or on.

Edit 2: Found it! Settings > General > Spotlight Search > Turn off "Spotlight Suggestions".

iPad and iPhone updated. Slideover is rather nice on the iPad.

First annoyance is the news feed in the new -1 search screen.  Can't figure out how to turn that off (I am a data hoarder as my work allowance is pathetic)

THIS!
How to turn off (or hide) news feed?

You can hide the news feed by unhiding my previous post :)

Initial reaction was it had slowed my 5s down to levels comparable to how the original 7.0 update treated my iPhone 4. But it seems to be performing better now.

One question though; wasn't iOS 9 meant to introduce "always" on for the "Hey Siri" feature? It still only responds to me if it's plugged in.

The function of having Siri always listening without your phone being plugged in is only available on the new S models.

Of course. It wouldn't be Apple without forcing updates by limiting features like that.

Thanks for the info.

I was looking forward to using an ad blocker but my iPhone 5 does not meet the criteria...apparently 64bit processor needed :(

The new podcast app as part of ios9 is a dog. Now you have to go through another menu for each podcast you want to download, and it is laggy. It wasn't great in ios8 , and kept crashing, but at least it was usable. The updated one is made if you want it always connected to wifi, but as that drains the battery quickly , it is a poor option.

Updated an all seems well. Keyboard toggling between lower case and caps is a bit distracting at first.
Have found that Marco Arment, the developer of Overcast, which is great, has released a Content Blocker called Peace. Have bought and am trying it out but have no doubt it will be great.

Cheers,
Joseph
