I will now properly upgrade to the new iPhone 6SE 64Gb from my original iPhone 4 16Gb (notice I said 4 not 4S). I no longer use my iPod (2nd gen) but my phone so am a little disappointed in that the new 6SE only has a max 64Gb.

Plus will seriously look at the new iPad Pro 9.7" for all my eBook reading.

So we all wait for the Kiwi pricing

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

I thought there may have been an update to the MB Air range, however I feel they will drop the MB Air range in favour of an expanded MacBook range later this year when iMacs and MB Pro updates are done.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

On the iPad Pro 9.7...

Not I'm my opinion. Wouldn't the Macbook/iMac be a more appropriate PC replacement? (Edit: Technically they are PCs)

$NZ Pricing for the iPad Pro 9.7:

32GB: 1,049.00 or 1,269.00 with LTE

128GB: 1,329.00 or 1,549.00 with LTE

256GB: $1,599.00 or 1,819.00 with LTE

Smart Keyboard for 9.7: $279.00

Pencil: $189.00

I haven't been keeping up with Apple launches since the iPhone6S.

Haven't even been reading the rumour mill lately either.

I am just a little bored with tech at the moment, especially when I now have a $2,000 phone, it is getting a little beyond me.

I will upgrade to iPhone 7 but that is around contract renewal and a zero cost to upgrade when I sell my 6S+

I have the ipad air2 and ir performs very well, when I use it, which is less than weekly now, I am seriously thinking about moving it on and not replacing it.

Wouldn't mind an apple watch2 as I am getting my GF an apple watch at the beginning of may when we go to Melbourne.

PoHq:

Agree with others.

1. It's a minor event.

2. Things do seem to have plateaued

3. It's like Apple are their own worst enemy, their flagship range of products are so good now there is no need to upgrade every year.

The leaks also for this event have been insane so I don't feel like there will be anything that we don't know already.

Having said ALL that..........I'm still watching :-)

This pretty much sums my thoughts on mobile technology at the moment, not just restricted to Apple, saw a demo Samsung S7 in JB Hifi the other day, couldn't even be bothered having a 30 sec play with it. We all know how a iPhone/iPad works/feels/etc so its only the bulletpoint 'new' features that create any real interest if any. My wife and kids are still blissfully happy trucking on with iPad 3's, in fact my wife is happier with a $200 VF Smart Ultra then she is with her work supplied Samsung S5 or was with her previous iPhone 5S. The only real tangible that keeps increasing is cost

Hmm, I see if you want a new iPad at the moment, the Apple Store is only selling the Air 2 in 32 or 64GB versions. If you want more storage you have to go Mini 4 or Pro. Do you think they will phase out the Air and make the Pro the only large line? I still have an Air 1 which I am more than happy with, an iPhone 5S for my business phone and a 6S for my personal phone. Given pricing, if I needed to update any of those I'd get the iPhone SE and the iPad Mini 4, and suck up the screen size reduction. The SE looks really cute, actually, and with all the bells & whistles of the 6S it's well-featured. As a petite woman with little hands, I find it quite an appealing addition to the range.

I think what will be really interesting is what technology space Apple launch into next. They have massive resources and a current market that is in decline. They must be thinking hard about changing direction into new product streams.

Driverless cars?

Internet of things?

Teleportation / time travel ???

I do find this amusing as you were quite vocal about your excitement over the new iPhone this year. That said a lot of people have wanted the iPhone5 shape with better internals for a long time.

It's a woman's prerogative to change her mind! ;o) Don't get me wrong, I still love my 6S (though I do find I have to juggle it a bit to use the whole screen with one hand). If money were no object I'd pick it over the smaller screen, but if I had to replace it I probably wouldn't be able to afford the price of another 6S. I was made redundant recently so I'd probably have to go for a cheaper option, and in that respect the SE is looking really good.

An apple watch? They are atrocious things.

I equate them right up there with pocket protectors and calculator watches.

I guess at least it identifies one as a true tech enthusiast though.

Tech enthusiasts though don't tend to be Apple fan boys. They tend to buy android as it allows more custom setups. Apple products aren't generally new generation products, they are an old existing product that they try to perfect. eg apple didn't invent the smartphone, the smart watch, they just improved on what was already in the market.
