The problem is that they are so expensive for what they are, considering they sound is no better than the free ones they 'give away' with the phone. If they were up to the sound quality of their premium apple earbuds which they normally sell for over $100, then they maybe worth it. But I guess they would be good for using with an apple watch, so you don't need your iphone with you. But if you have your iphone with you, you may as well just plugin headphones. I never have a problem with wires, and infact the wires stop them falling o the ground when they fall out of my ear. I would be scared of these ones falling out and hitting the ground, as the shape of the current wired ones fall out all the time.

I think the iphone 7 is a great device, and the big plus is that it is water resistant, and probably the most powerful phone on the market, as it is tuned for the OS. I have also found apple devices very reliable compared to other brands. The lack of a headphone jack is annoying, especially if you listen to music while charging. But most of apples new devices now seem to need multiple dongles for some things.

Saw an article the other day that the Samsung S8 will be without the 3.5mm port as well.

Don't they have wireless charging plus a usb port though? People will still be able to listen to music while charging without  multiple dongle . Although the next iphone (or possibly just the premium 10 year anniversary version) will likely have wireless charging. I wouldn't be surprised if apple totally get rid of the lightning port in the future too, as it shouldn't be needed now, if they are trying to get people to move to wireless headphones.

No wireless charging. And if it was to come I think they'd have to get rid of the aluminium back.

As I was late to the party, mine is saying 3rd January. I'm not too worried as I very seldom use headphones.

Although this is in large part because I hate the tangle of cables, and the idea of "wireless" ones where the two buds are still connected by a wire seemed like they would be almost as bad in the tangle department.

I'm hoping I'll make use of them a lot more with a completely wireless solution.

I'll be most interested to see how long the buds and charging case hold a charge if not used for a while.

Just got them this morning. Very easy to setup and the sound is pretty good.

One thing that surprised me was how small the case was...and how beautifully designed it its. It has a heft to it which I guess comes from the battery.
