I had a nightmare with this the other night. The code would only flash up on my phone for a second and then disappear. The workaround was to request a code under Password & security settings. Something I never knew existed until now.

Mine eventually came right by logging into ">https://appleid.apple.com/#!&page=signin[/url] and going to the Security page and turning it off for each account there. prior to this even my Apple TV wouldnt let me use it without the phantom Authentication notification.

One account STILL needed a 2FA to login and turn OFF 2FA but from the webpage i could select the old method of sending me a txt.

On an aside... I get several notification 'flickering' away no that don't even appear in the notification tab afterward. Anyone know how to find them if they are somehow autocleared?
