joker97: Haha you guys are funny my iPad pros are more than capable, I'm just glad i can actually store files on it now though it remains to be seen. Too bad my iPads are both 16gb lol

I've always stored files on my iPad. Files the native apps can read or cant read. Thats no issue. The issue is very quickly and very easy popping some files sitting here on a fakes drive into it. I can do that with the help of my laptop and iTunes but thats not quick. Its not had, but why oh why, can't it just be copied over, to my app of choice, easily?

I upgraded to the iPad Air2 from iPad4 and used to use it all the time, however I am going to skip this one as my iPad goes weeks between uses and I actually charge it more than I use it.

I have an iPhone7+ and a laptop with SSD so the iPad's place has really been superseded by those options, which is funny as I would have thought 2 years ago the iPad would supersede the laptop!

I am sure the bigger screen will be very nice, and it will be super speedy, but for me it has gone beyond what I need 2 generations ago.

To me Apple has lost its shine a bit, I wasn't even looking at the WWDC details and really didn't know or care that we got a new iPad!

Good to know, i'm eyeing one up.

antoniosk:

Having spoken to JBHIFI in welly this morning, they tell me they have stock in store but it's not on the floor yet as the Apple channel folk have to come out and do the swapout with older units.

Quite fascinating, but I expect they will be on floor by friday.

It's a good widget, but without seeing ios11 on it might be early to look at it.

What is the status of Apple's embedded SIM in the new iPads?
Does this cover NZ or do you need a nano-sim anyway?
Wondering before I update my Mini 3

Thanks,
Damian

Screen shots of the data plans for the embedded sim, taken from a 10.5 in iPad bought from Apple NZ.

Yip it includes tablets....  the "Laptop" ban is pretty much anything bigger than a phone...
