Didnt telecom try this years ago, where people could send short voice messages for 20c. If i remember correctly it was a complete failure and TBH i dont see telegram doing that well either.

That would be QuickChat. I only used this once ever. You could look at Tony's blog for a recent article about this

App is now called nzGuide (better name) and version 1.2 is available.  List of additional features and more screen shots on www.orsome.co.nz .

Also details on the forthcoming myTrades and an NZ Weather application (looks fantastic)

Arithon: Just a couple of questions regarding the tvGuide app for those who bought it (I almost bought it myself, finger was hovering over the button but decided to ask a couple of questions first)
  1. How many days does it show?  (I'm after a week both forward and back)
  2. Does it cache the data for offline use? (My iPhones sole data connection is at home on Wifi)
  3. What are the full list of channels shown?
  4. How much information can be displayed for a show?
Thanks for any replies.

Jon

Looks like the updates for the forthcoming v1.2 change the answers to your questions.
However I still only see 1.1 on iTunes

I have selected comments from authors website, not my own
1) "I'm still only able to show today and tomorrows data, as any more would require a data subscription from you all, which I'm sure you're happy to avoid."
2) " I have changed the program so it stores the data locally after pulling it from the servers too. This results in faster launch and navigation times, and removes the need to be online whenever you want to see whats on right now."
3) Does not answer question... but images below show flexibility

4)

Thanks for that MattD.  I have already purchased it anyway (cheap as) and have been enjoying it.  These changes will make it perfect.

agree... there are quite a few apps out there in 'review' with apple at the moment. They must be swamped at the moment.

From info on the website, I am led to believe that v1.2 is still in review with Apple (and name is changed nzGuide)

I am attached to AU store... Apple are unable to move my account to a new country store.  Can someone on NZ Store verify if they see 1.1 tvGuide or 1.2 tvGuide?

Any reason why I can't see TVNZ7 in my list of channels to add to my main page?   I see it in the screenshot above...

All I have in my options list is:

1, 2, 3, C4, Prime, CTV, Maori, Discovery, BOX, Sky Movies, Sky Movies2, Sky Sport1, Sky Sport2

So I don't seem to have a few Freeview channels...and seeing as TVNZ 7 is showing in the list on that screenshot I wonder if there's anything else I'm missing?  I've got the latest version (I think - nzGuide is the name, there's no updates in the App Store that I can see or have been notified about).
