ECG was submitted to Australia’s medical device department a few months ago, so is just waiting for approval now.

DjShadow:

The Series 5 looks like an S year for the watch, the always on display is really the only new feature I could see.

That, and compass functionality in terms of technical updates. Definitely an S year.

Different screen tech though - OLED vs Transflective

It's like a Pebble vs an Apple Watch  - one was always on, but the other was better to look at from a brightness/depth perspective. Horses for Courses.

Back to the idea of the Cellular model - I just want these to be available in NZ so I can go back to a Stainless Steel Apple Watch...don't like my Aluminium one as much as I liked my Steel...and I have a bunch of watch straps that go better with steel than AL

would you mind posting your source for this? - it is quite interesting and I wasn’t aware it had happened.

I did not think I would need a source so I dont have one :)

When I went to the site at 9:27 i added a

Apple Watch Series 5 GPS, 44mm Space Grey Aluminium Case with Black Sport Band

MWVF2X/A/185414

to my cart and the amount showing in cart was $729 , Bonus I thought!

I then had to go away for a short while under an hour when I came back and went to go ahead with the usual fill out stuff the price chaged from $729 to $779

at 10:56 i was showing a checkout interrupted refreshed and price changed

I really dont think I was seeing things LOL

the person on the chat line did what she was suppose to do can you show me proof? no then we cant do anything fair enough

end of story

We don't have a regulatory body for this in NZ, Apple weren't aware of this until recently...

We do have one in the pipeline:

Seriously considered this, but with ECG and LTE missing.. Feeling a bit short changed.

Next year should be interesting if this year was anything to go by. The S3 price is very decent. Hopefully the S4 replaces the S3 at half the price. That'd be a quick and easy upgrade!

Come on Spark, you all ready have eSIM working so support Apple Watch LTE already. Until this happens I won’t be budging from my series 4.
