Has an always on display, apart from  that I dont see much different from a physical viewpoint.

Always-On Retina display. You no longer need to raise your wrist or touch the screen to see the time or other information on your watch face, because the display never sleeps. So whether riding a bike, cranking out some crunches, or counting the minutes in a meeting, all you need to do is glance to find the time or your workout metrics right there where you want them.To remain on all day with all-day battery life, hardware and software have to work in harmony.2 The display dims when your wrist is down, yet key features, like watch hands, remain visible at all times. Touching the face or raising your wrist brings everything back to full brilliance.

Apple to continue to sell series 3 but not 4, series 5 same prices as series 4 was. Entry level series 3 down to US$199!

For NZ, series 5 is $30 more expensive than 4, probably due to a weaker exchange rate than a year ago.

I sent a tweet to Spark this morning asking about an Apple Watch with LTE was met with a reply telling me to keep an eye on their announcements throughout the day.

Possibly Apple Watch with LTE support in NZ? If it happens then I’ll be upgrading my Apple Watch 3.

I’m guessing that for the esim to work you have to buy it through Spark, I know for the iPhone esim to work you had to have bought the phone directly from Spark. I’m not sure if that is still the case, but that could be why we can’t pre order from Apple?

The Apple store isn't selling any LTE models, by the looks of things.

Seems obvious, they won’t announce availability until there is support

The Series 5 looks like an S year for the watch, the always on display is really the only new feature I could see.

No, it's not here or in Aussie.

I think it will arrive in both countries at the same time. I stand to be corrected, but I think we have a system where if something is medically cleared in one country, it's automatically cleared in the other.

I kept an eye out for the "announcement", and its a big fail.

"We'd like to announce that it's not ready yet."

Why even embargo something like that?

Yep I had reply, should be ready within six months... it suits me fine as that’s when I’ll be ready.
